Apologies for the silence that has emanating from the ‘rift recently. We are still here; sadly real life has reared it’s head and we’re all frantically busy with work/travel/moving house etc.

So that time of year is almost upon us again…. GAMES DAY!
This year it’s been switched to the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham which halves the amount of tickets and makes for less hustle and bustle.
As ever, Forge World will be pre-releasing lots of new stuff for purchase on the day and as last year, they are teasing us all with little mailouts and pictures of what’s going to be on sale.
Firstly, Horus Heresy: Massacre will be on sale. This has been confirmed and I have already reserved my copy for collection on the day.
Secondly, as the title of this post suggests, there is a new Tau Riptide variant which will be on sale as well. The Tau XV107 R’Varna Battlesuit looks like a Riptide with BIGGER ASS GUNS.

People keep asking me about which Primarch will be unveiled at Games Day; All I can tell you is this: To my knowledge, the next Primarch is Ferrus Manus. The reasons why he has been done before Horus and Mortarion are because (SPOILER ALERT!) he gets owned fairly early on in the Heresy and they needed to get him out of the way. He will allegedly slot together with Fulgrim’s base to present the first Primarch duel. Now, it’s possible that Mortarion is finished and we will get a double release, but as I say, having spoken to Simon Egan, Will Hayes, Tony Cotterall and Alan Bligh at various events, this is what I believe to be the case.
I fully expect Erebus to be available just prior to or at Games Day. I’m told that Kor Phaeron isn’t ready yet, but who knows?

Big thanks to Masterminis.net from where this content is shamefully plundered, but we thought you’d all like to see it!
First off… Games Workshop are doing a bundle deal for a whole Space Marine Chapter. Yes… I’ll say that again. A whole Space Marine Chapter.
How much?
Well… the currency converter tells me it’s about £8,450. So as long as you’re a well paid member of a cartel or a gazillionaire with time to assemble about 1000 marines and 100+ tanks and so on, then this may be the thing for you! 🙂
Other intriguing stuff includes a ‘Death Watch’ bundle… I *really* hope these guys have updated rules in the codex but I think they may be an Apocalypse formation in the Damnos Warzone book – but we’ll see soon enough.

Word came down from GW to retailers:
1. They would not be increasing the price of products they produce this year.
2. They would be increasing the price of products they do not produce (paints, sprays, etc).

This past week has seen little emerging on the rumours front and indeed, today’s post is GW centric. Everyone is still excited about the new Warhammer 40k Eldar release and there’s been a lot of chatter about rules or possible rules or rules that we are hoping for regarding the Eldar but the codex drops in 3 days so it won’t be long until we find out. 🙂

The glaring omission from the Eldar lists in White Dwarf was the Iyanden Craftworld codex supplement that was shown in the digital releases section. This has now been mooted to be released on June 15th – so watch this space!
Sadly it does appear to be at full codex price, so it will be interesting to see how much you get for the money.
Warhammer 40k via Forge World
As we know, Forge World have released the new Imperial Armour 3 Second Edition, which I’m sure all Tau players have been waiting a long time for.

Warhammer Fantasy Battle via Heresy Online
According to several sources the next WFB Army Book will be Lizardmen! So all you people that like your scaly men… err.. look no further! The consensus at the moment is that this release will appear in August.
That’s about it for this week. Games Workshop is possibly releasing Apocalypse 2 in July but more on that as we get it. The sources are being tapped where possible and we will uncover the truth! 😀
